This festive, non-competitive event is perfect for kids and families looking to add a little extra holiday magic to their day during Heroes &amp; Holidays. Santa will officially kick off the Fun Run at 10:30 AM, then cheer participants on from the sidelines alongside a cast of beloved holiday characters as families make their way through the course. Costumes, holiday spirit, and lots of smiles are encouraged! Registration is just $5 per family, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Veterans Council of Clay County, helping support local veterans and their families. As a special holiday bonus, every registered participant will receive a $10 coupon toward a Santa photo package, making it easy to continue the fun with a memorable visit to Santa after the race. Following the Tougher Than You Think 5K, the celebration continues as we gather to honor those who serve and welcome a very special guest. At 10:00 AM, Santa Claus will make his grand arrival at Orange Park Mall, officially kicking off the holiday season during our Heroes &amp; Holidays celebration. This unique event brings together the spirit of patriotism, community, and Christmas as veterans, active duty military, first responders, families, and neighbors unite to celebrate the heroes who make our community stronger. Immediately following his arrival, Santa will lead the Santa Family Fun Run, inviting children and families to join him on a festive dash before he heads to his holiday home to begin welcoming visitors for the season. The celebration continues until 1:00 PM with live entertainment, community partners, holiday activities, vendors, games, and plenty of festive surprises. There's no better way to begin the holiday season than by celebrating the heroes among us and sharing in the joy, gratitude, and magic that make Heroes &amp; Holidays a new Orange Park Mall tradition.

This meaningful community race honors the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of our veterans, active duty military, first responders, and all those who serve our communities every day. Whether you're racing for a personal best, walking with friends and family, or showing your support for our local heroes, every participant helps make a difference while supporting the Veterans Council's mission to serve veterans throughout Clay County. Get ready for a super-spooktacular Halloween afternoon at Orange Park Mall’s Candy Crawl! Beginning at noon on Halloween, families can trick-or-treat at participating stores while enjoying costumed characters, roving entertainment, and spooky surprises throughout the mall. Trick-or-treating is available while supplies last. Look for participating Teal Pumpkin locations offering non-food treats for children with food allergies or other dietary needs.

This special event brings together incredible vehicles, live entertainment, local resources, and meaningful opportunities to connect while raising awareness and supporting those impacted by addiction and recovery. Guests can explore a variety of classic, custom, and modern vehicles, enjoy live music throughout the day, grab a bite from local food trucks, and take part in fun activities for kids. Community organizations will also be on site providing valuable recovery resources, education, and support for individuals and families. The event will also feature a Lost Loved Ones Memorial, offering a place to honor and remember those whose lives have been affected by addiction. Join Orange Park Mall for a shell-tastic Kids Club adventure celebrating turtles, ocean conservation, and community kindness! Young Turtle Heroes can meet real turtles up close inside our Turtle Encounter Zone while learning about turtle habitats, rescue and rehabilitation, different turtle species, and simple ways kids can help protect wildlife and waterways. Kids can also dive into the Ocean Cleanup Challenge, a hands-on activity where little heroes help clean the “ocean” by removing recyclable items from a giant kiddie pool and sorting them into the correct recycling bins to help protect marine life. Filled with toy turtles, ocean creatures, and interactive elements, this playful challenge teaches kids how small actions can make a big difference for our planet. Families are also invited to participate in Shells of Kindness, a special community art experience inspired by our 250 Acts of Community initiative. Kids will write or draw one promise to help animals, nature, or others on colorful turtle shell cards and add them to our growing Turtle Heroes Promise Wall.
