WHAT: Orange Park Mall will host the “Yes We Can!” Food Drive to benefit Waste Not Want Not and its mission to prevent food waste and to fight hunger across 14 Northeast Florida counties. Now through Nov. 27, several Orange Park Mall retailers are kickstarting the drive by collecting non-perishable food items to support the organization ahead of its Thanksgiving weekend event.
Shoppers can drop donations off early at Books-A-Million, Dillard’s, Go Green CBD, and Swirl Suites. Organizers encourage donors to look to their own pantries first rather than purchasing new items, underscoring the event’s mission to reduce food waste while fighting hunger. Participants who donate three or more canned food items will receive a free reusable Orange Park Mall tote and Holiday Coupon Book. Every can counts toward helping local families this holiday season.
All food collected will be given to Waste Not Want Not and select items will play a starring role in a unique “Canstruction” art installation created by local Orange Park artists. The completed display will be unveiled on Friday, Nov. 28, in Center Court, marking the official kickoff to the mall’s Thanksgiving Weekend “Yes We Can!” Food Drive.
Guests are invited to enjoy a full weekend of family fun, live entertainment, festive surprises and the spirit of giving in Center Court:
